The role of the toroidal current transformer and its core structure

The toroidal current transformer acts as one of the current transformers. Its function is also to convert the primary current through a certain ratio into a secondary current with a small value for protection, measurement and other purposes. It is impossible for each meter to be connected to a wire or busbar whose actual value is very large, so it is converted into a secondary value by a transformer to a small value, and the actual value of one time is reflected by the ratio. 

The working principle and equivalent circuit of the toroidal current transformer are the same as those of the general transformer, except that the primary winding is connected in series in the circuit under test, and the number of turns is small; the secondary winding is connected with a low-impedance load such as an ammeter and a relay current coil, which is approximately short-circuited. . The primary current and the secondary current depend on the load of the line under test, regardless of the secondary load of the current transformer. 

It is worth noting that the toroidal core of the toroidal current transformer uses 0.05mm, 0.08mm, 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.23mm, 0.27mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm low iron loss and high permeability cold rolled oriented high quality silicon steel material. Because it is a paramagnetic circuit ring structure, the magnetic circuit is completely closed, and there is no magnetic leakage, so its magnetic performance is optimal, and the winding of the ring winding machine is fast and convenient, and the production efficiency is
